This item is a working Columbia Graphophone, The Talking Machine, that dates to 1904 and comes with twenty six cylinders. There is a label on the back which reads "The Graphophone and Columbia Records were awarded The Grand Prize at the Paris Exposition 1904". There is also a label on the front which reads "The Columbia Graphophone Made in USA" with patent dates from 1896-1897 "Columbia Phonograph New York London". The graphophone has a wooden lid that has a label on the inside, it is a little faded and worn, but parts are still readable. The wood on this piece is really beautiful. This is a quality piece and a great investment. The graphophone with the lid on measures 13 3/4" in height, 15" from side to side, and 8 1/2" from front to back. With the speaker on, it measures 21 1/2" in height, 15 1/2" from side to side, and 18" from front to back. The cylinders are 4 1/2" in height and 2 1/8" in diameter. Total weight is 33 pounds.
