Antique medical textbook called The Practice of Obstetrics by J. Clifton Edgar. "Designed for the use of students and practitioners of medicine." Copyright 1904 by P. Blakiston's Son & Co in Philadephia, second edition. With 1264 illustrations, including 5 colored plates and 38 figures printed in colors. 1153 pages. The book is not in the best condition. The cover/boards has a lot of wear and is coming loose from the pages (hinges loose), the spine has a lot of wear. There is no writing in it and I believe all of the pages are there. The book is very interesting to look at. Parts of the book are: The Physiology of the Female Genital Organs, Physiological Pregnancy, Pathological Pregnancy, Physiological Labor, Pathological Labor, Physiological Puerperium & The Puerperal Woman, Pathological Puerperium, The Physiology of the Newly Born, The Pathology of the Newly Born, Obstetric Surgery.
