Up for auction is a rare 1905 Lewis & Clark Centennial Exposition games medal for the Champion of the 16 pound hammer throw. It measures 3 3/4" long and is in very good conditon with a nice dark patina. The C clasp pin on the back is in good working order. The ribbon is also in very good condition with no tears or fraying. One side of the support that holds the ribbon in place has come loose but this is still a solid medal and this minor defect can be easily fixed. It has a "Butterfield Bros, Portland Ore" mark on the back at the top under the pin clasp. All in all this is a very nice rare old medal from the 1905 Lewis & Clark Expo.
