Well, I still have a huge number of old Peterson Patents in my collection, and some of them have to go. I am down to just very rare pieces, and is another nice one up for auction. It is a large meerschaum bent with a nice amber stem. This pipe was in a tobacco museum collection in London for many years before I acquired it. It is approximately 6" in length, the bowl is about 2.25" tall x 1.125" wide. The amber stem is is very nice condition and is quite wide ~ .75" in width. The silver band is particularly wide and heavy and is clearly stamped "K & P" over 1905 Dublin hallmarks over "Peterson's" over "Patent". The band is ~ 1" long x 1" wide - it is a huge silver band. The leather case is in very nice condition, brownish/cordovan in color, with intact hinges that snap shut nicely. Most of the label in the case is missing; the "Patent" from the label is still in the case. The amber stem is stuck in the bowl, and I am not going to remove it. The new owner should probably have it restored by a professional. The meerschaum bowl is in good condition, but has some nicks on the heel of the bowl.Overall, this is close to being a museum-piece quality. It is a very early Peterson Patent with a large intact amber stem.It is truly a rare collectible Peterson pipe, and t are just not many old ones like this out t anymore. Please email me at with any questions. Thanks for looking.
