1906 Elks Medallion-Lodge 17-Denver CO Reunion-Bronze Description 25 years ago we inherited the estate of our aged parents, who were avid collectors in several fields. Among the items in their estate are several old B.P.O.E. (Elks) medals, medallions and pins, including this one. This medal (medallion?) appears to be bronze and not brass. On the top bar appears "Lodge 17 B.P.O.E.", "Denver" "Mile-High." On the lower bar appears "Lodge Reunion 1906" On this middle bar is also a clock with Roman numerals reading a time of 11:00. Above the clock is the word "Grand." The 1906 date is under the clock. On the lower medallion at the bottom is written "Nil Sine Humine." The medallion has an American Indian with featd headdress at the top, an imposing elk in the center, and an escutcheon at the bottom above the "Nil Sine Humine." The back of the medallion is stamped at the bottom with "HABERL" OR "MABERL" OR "MABBRL" and "Denver Colo." Size: Total length from top bar to bottom of medallion is about 4 1/4 inches. The width of the top bar is 2 1/4 inches and the height of the center is 1 inch. The large medallion itself is about 2 1/8 inches high by 2 inches wide.
