Item on sale: SECT numbers 1 to 20 of its 4th year (1906) bound together. Hard cover. All 20 issues have Kirchner illustrations. The numbers do not include their half-hard cover, neither the PCs inserted in them. In other words, each one of the 20 bounded issues includes only the magazine itself, from page 1 to 24. Anyway, any Kirchner drawing was never published in the rejected exterior covers. Other illustrators in these issues: W. Braun, C. Köystrand, Hans Zasche, Fritz Gareis, C. Wedenmeyer, Tony Pfoser,... T are 36 Raphael Kirchner signed illustrations. You can see 12 of them (SEE SUPERSIZED PICTURES). In 1903, SECT, a German magazine, begins to be published weekly. In the years 1905 and 1906, SECT published Raphael Kirchner illustrations in some of its magazines. Many of Kirchner drawings are related to a short text, forming a joke, alltogether. All SECT pages are monochrome, although not always black. Some pages were printed in green, red, blue, brown,... ect. From an aesthetical point of view, SECT Kirchner's illustrations belong to his Art Nouveau period. Each magazine, was published with an ugly half-hard cover, with 4 cuts (as in the old PC albums) to hold a PC. Most of the SECT PCs have few interest for collectors. Nevertheless, SECT published Kirchner's F.8-1 and F.8-2 PCs. and W. Braun draw some nice PCs, too. Magazine size: 8.5" x 4.1" (21,5 cms. x 10,5 cms.). Kirchner illustration sizes varies, but most of them are almost full page. The book condition is EXCELLENT. T are not age spots. A few page corners are creased, as if someone had folded them to remember w to continue reading. Scarce magazines.
