This is a true beauty in every way. The large antique T & V Limoges France bowl dates back to 1907 through 1919, as illustrated by the marks on the underside. This is the location where the finest porcelain in the world was made, during that time. The talented artist remains unknown, but I do know that the piece was decorated for Limoges at a Tresseman and Voght factory around the turn of the century. They produced and decorated many pieces of white ware and hand painted many pieces also. This particular bowl is absolutely magnificent, and presents in excellent condition despite its great age. There are some very minute dots of missing gold at the top, but nothing serious or troublesome at all. I still consider it to be perfect. Please view all photos to get a detailed impression of the piece. This piece is exceptionally well made and expertly hand painted. The outer surface has a deep dark green background with heavy gold trim at the top. There are lovely pink and purple flowers hanging down the side, as are some flower buds and green leaves. At the bottom of the bowl there is a small low self pedestal, also done in dark green with gold trim. The inside of this bowl is white with the same pink and purple flowers and buds with leaves all the around the inner surface. It truly is hand painted and decorated to a degree of perfection.
