This is a 1907 railroad engineers handbook, titled Locomotive Engine Breakdowns and How To Repair Them, With Questions and Answers, Illustrated, by W. G. Wallace, Frederick J. Drake Co Publishers, Chicago, 1907, with illustrations including several large fold-outs, "being nearly 400 questions that were asked by enginemen during a series of years, answered by Mr Wallace through the columns of the "Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen's Magazine. They cover almost every possible "Breakdown" and include many difficult problems, all of which are answered in a clear cut manner in simple terms easily comprehended by railroad men". Book is about 4 1/2" by 7", with 285 pages, plus additional advertisements for other books in the back. An education in railroad engineering, and what old time railroad engineers had to know and be able to do. It is semi hardbound, black leattte, with a nice gold illustration in front. Some of the leattte has worn through to the leather, per photo, but the binding is tight, and the book is sound. Ships media mail at $4.00
