1908 - 1911 Van Briggle Vase
Offering for auction a Rare & Early MaroonVan Briggle Pottery Vase from the 1908-1911 period. The vase is design number 681, and was first designed around 1908 by Emma Kinkead - one of the more popular designers from the early years! The vase is covered in the rare and beautiful dark Maroon semi-matte glaze and shows very good definition and form. The glaze is uniform and consistent throughout, but does need some cleaning. The piece is in overall excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs! This is a great VB vase to add to your collection - don't miss out! Please e-mail me with any questions. Shipping & Insurance Information: I will ship via USPS Priority Insured Mail. My goal is to give you the very best service at the lowest possible cost. All items sold have a set shipping cost which includes insurance for the continental US. Overseas shipping will be exact costs - please email me for pricing based on location. After several queries about any crazing and color, I decided to clean the vase and post a new "cleaned" picture so that potential buyers could get a better look at the true glaze color and condition. I also found that the vase appears to have some green highlighting around the top of the glaze over the maroon color.
