1909 Abraham Lincoln Reunion Bronze Medal Ryden - Hanson 63.5 mmOffering a 1909 Abraham Lincoln Reunion Medal. Struck in bronze, it is quite massive at 63.5 mm (2 1/2") in diameter and 7 mm (1/4") thick. The sculptor was Henning Ryden. The medal was manufactured by C.H. Hanson. The obverse is a three quarters portrait of Abraham Lincoln with the legend " Abraham Lincoln President 1861 1865 ". The reverse shows a male and female (the North and South) figure sitting together near a cannon. The male figure holds an Amercian Flag and the U.S. Capitol building is in the backgraound. Above the Capitol building is the legend " Reunion ".There is some very slight rubbing wear at the highest points of the design. There are some rim bumps, the most noticeable of which is visible on the obverse at about the three o'clock position. There is some minor spotting on the obverse and two dark areas of discoloration on the reverse. Still, considering the scarceness of this medal, it remains a fine and desirable piece. The medal in the photos is the one being offered. I invite you to have a good look before buying. It will be very carefully packaged for shipment in a non-PVC plastic flip. All items ship within 24 hours of receipt of cleared payment! Sundays and Postal holidays, excepted. There will be no additional charge for standard shipping and insurance
