You are bidding on an extremely rare and collectible token once used at the "BLARNEY CASTLE SALOON" located in the historic town of Ash Fork Arizona The "town" of Ash Fork is located in Yavapai County..tiny population and loads of history....railroad days go back to 1880s, then the famed "Harvey House" in 1907...and Route 66......a very amazing pc of history. This is an attractive and historic Arizona SALOON token. In the fine token book "Arizona Trade Tokens 2010" (Spooner)....this merchant (Joseph Rambaud and Co.) is listed as running the "Blarney Castle Saloon from 1909 - 1914. There is a very good chance this token was used during the Arizona Territorial years. THIS IS A RARE TOKEN !! Trade token is brass, 8 lobed , about 27mm in diameter, and it has strong features, and displays nicely (please see pictures in gallery) One side says : " JOSEPH RAMBAUD --- ASH FORK --- ARIZ. la rub. stamp co." Other side says " GOOD FOR --- ONE DRINK BLARNEY CASTLE SALOON la rub. stamp co." Often these "trade tokens" are found in "dug and ugly" condition...this is a wonderful specimen of a RARE western saloon token. One look tells you how good this one is......this is a GREAT token. Low reserve for a token of this quality and historical significance. Thanks so much for looking....collect and invest in history!!!!! Tangible assets are read more
