This is a wonderful Maritime painting of a schooner charging through high seas. It has the American flag on the right and down on the left bottom corner in script it is signed AM Ellis 09. So this oil painting was painted in 1909 and the canvas reflects that. There are 4 or 5 old little patches on the back of the painting. I think they were put there for strengthening rather that exact patches. Overall the painting is in very very good condition. The painting is housed in a brand new carved wood and gilt appropriate frame. The rich gold gilt sets off the high seas and the deep blue sky. Overall it measures 38 3/8 x 28 and the sight size is 29 x 19 . Striving For Excellence It isnt brilliance or just getting the breaks, It is consistent attention to & honest respect for the Customer.
