Every auction starts at $1 with no reserve, regardless of the lot's value. Shipping will be absolutely FREE on every lot. You are bidding on a 1909 T206 portrait card of Hall of Famer, Vic Willis. The card has a Piedmont 350 Subjects reverse. This card has such bright white borders and color, it looks brand new, as if it was just pulled from a Piedmont pack! However, I will only grade this card a very conservative Excellent/Near Mint due to a touch of wear on the bottom left corner. Also mentioned for complete accuracy, when examining the front of the card under high magnification, I detected a tiny brown dot of tobacco stain in the top white border; and in the very middle of his forehead is a extremely tiny dot of blue from the original printing process that was used for the blue coloring in his eyes. This card is part of a collection I inherited from my grandfather who passed away in 1992. I intend to sell the collections of both my late uncle and my grandfather on eBay in the near future. I have inherited the estates of both my grandfather (passed away in 1992) and my late uncle who died in 1994. Both of them were sports card collectors on a large scale. My grandfather was born in 1897 and began collecting when he was a small boy shortly after the turn of the century, while my uncle collected cards from the 1950s until his death. Unfortunately, they both passed away when the grading industry was in its infancy and very few of their vintage cards were sent in for grading before they died. The cards have been in safe deposit for the past decade and I recently decided to remove some of the raw ungraded cards from safe-deposit and sell them on eBay. These will all be sold in single or group lots on eBay in the near future. Thank you.
