DIMENSIONS: 5 7/8" X 7 3/4" 68 pages total 27 pages of Advertisements + front and back inside covers is a wonderful old cookbook named "The Suttons Bay Cookbook, Number Two," published by The Ladies' Aid Society of the Congregational Church, Suttons Bay, Michigan." It was published by "Ebner Brothers, Printers, Traverse City, Mich., 1909." This Cookbook not only has many old recipes, but also many advertisements for businesses in Suttons Bay and Traverse City, Michigan. Some listed are the "Traverse City State Bank, Hannah & Lay Co., J.W. Milliken, Inc., Hamilton Clothing Co., The Park Place, Arms & Cole Sanitary Plumbing and Heating Engineers, in the Traverse City area and Hoyt's Drug Store, L.E. Bahle of Suttons Bay and Clark General Store in Suttons Bay. The cover is made of something similar to "oil cloth," thus, is very durable. As you can see from the pictures, t is some minor wear on the cover, but still is in very good condition, considering the age! No torn or missing pages. A very interesting piece of Northern Mchigan history. All the wonderful recipes are from Suttons Bay area ladies, including Mrs. L.E. Bahle's economical soup, corned beef sauerkraut, Mrs. J.C. Andersons's noodle soup and pork sausage, roast pig, potato salad, Mrs. L.R. Peck of Northport, fruit salad, Mrs. Clark's Norwegian pudding, Mrs. M. Hoyt's blackberry jam cake, Mrs. Duester's fudge, Mrs. Mary Kiessel's German crackers, and many, many more from almost 100 years ago! Suttons Bay is also near Leland, Northport, Glen Lake, Glen Arbor, Empire, Lake Leelanau, Maple City, and Cedar. Shipping & handling will be $3.00 by U.S. Mail. Michigan buyers will pay Michigan sales tax. NO personal or business checks will be accepted. We prefer PayPal.
