1910's - 1920's STYLE MEN'S WOOL CAP BIG APPLE, CABBIE, NEWSBOY Satin Lining Elasticized Sweat Band Made in U.S.A One Size Fits Most The outside diameter of this cap is exaggerated ... 12" across. The circumference of the inside elastic unstretched is 24". The bill of the cap has a snap to hold it to the cap. This is a reproduction of the caps so popular among the multitude of immigrants entering New York in the early 1900's that they were dubbed the "Big Apple" cap. They haven't been worn; but honestly I can't say they are "new". Contact me if you want the black-tweed one.The tag on the inside says "FITS ALL SIZES Made in U.S.A." on a few of the caps and on a few others have the American flag with "Made in U.S.A. One Size Fits All"Thank you! Here is the Wikipedia article on this style of cap:The style was popular in Europe and North America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries among both boys and adult men.
