This 1910 porcelain pennsylvania license plare is a beauty and wa made by the Ingram Richardson Manufacturing Company of Beaver Falls , PA. Ingram Richardson Manufacturing Company, known as Ing-Rich, was started in 1901 by Louis Ingram and Ernest Richardson in Beaver Falls, PA. They came from the Birmingham , England area in the late 1880's and were two of the original, industrious pioneers of porcelain enameling industry. Their partnership helped build Ing-Rich into one of the largest enameling businesses in America for over fifty years. Their signs were quality made and had a unique toughness and durability in so much that they guaranteed their signs not to fade or tarnish for years. Ing-Rich had plants in Beaver Falls, PA and Frankfort, IN and at one point in the 1920's, a facility in Bayonne, NJ. Most signs were enameled at the Beaver Falls plant. The Frankfort plant was originally built in 1916 to supply porcelain table tops to the kitchen cabinet industry. Ing-Rich not only designed and produced porcelain signs, but also enameled various other porcelain products such as license plates, washboards, refrigerator linings, bathroom sinks, bath tubs, and architectural panels.
