1910 SCRAP BOOK CAPTAIN F.H. RAWLINS BOER ZULU ARMY ROYAL ANGLESEY R.E. PHOTOS 1910 SCRAP BOOK CAPTAIN F.H. RAWLINS A delightful piece of Rawlins family history, titled " A musical scrap book by Frank Hooper Rawlins" written for his children Cosmo and Clarissa Rawlins as a christmas present in 1910. Containing images of Rawlins himself who served for 17 years in the British Army. A Captain and honoury Major in The Royal Anglesy Royal Engineers Militia during the late 19th cntury and early 20th century. During 1900 1901 he served in South Africa (Boer War) as O.C ACo R.A.R.E gaining a medal and 4 clasps. The scrap book contains a number of photographs including: Rawlins in uniform and civvies Rawlins on parade on horseback at Elandsfontein 1901 Roodeport Neck 1901 Officers of Royal Anglesey Royal Engineers 1895 A Zulu war dance On board ship, homeward bound 1901 The children Cosmo and Clarissa Haversham Manor Long Close Rawlins rowing at Oxford Carriage outside The Bedford Arms where Cosmo was born Trophy cabinet and trophies for Swimming, Gymnastics, Athletics, Bicycling & Boating Nurse Saxby Included are also various musical scores some original music and words composed by Rawlins himself.
