Welcome! I am very proud to be able to offer today five pieces of this stunning Devonware Chamber Set, circa 1911 . All five pieces are marked with the backstamp shown: DEVONWARE - S.F.& CO . - STOKE-ON-TRENT - ENGLAND - ETNA - 0628 - Rd. No. 578617. Crown Devon used this small crown backstamp between 1910 and 1930. The Registered Number 578617 indicates that this design was registered in 1911. The pattern name is Etna; the pattern number is 0628. "Etna" is a beautiful example of the Art Nouveau period, with stunning pink and yellow roses in swags and a green hanging jardiniere banded in deep plum. All pieces are accented with gold gilding - t is very minimum wear to any of the gilding. Crazing is evident on all the pieces, but should not be considered a defect as it is not stained and is only really visible on close inspection rather than on display. All five pieces are in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips, cracks, repairs or staining. The five pieces in the set are the Bowl or Wash Basin, Chamber Pot with Lid, Covered Soap Dish with Insert, Toothbrush Holder and Shaving Mug. This is a rare opportunity to find this many pieces of a great set in such fantastic condition! THIS LISTING IS FOR THE CHAMBER BOWL, OR WASH BASIN , ONLY! T is a 4mm circular surface nick in the bottom of the bowl. T are 3, almost identical, 5mm. surface linear nicks (please see picture included) around the top edge thru the gilding, and as they are equa-distance apart around the rim, I'm not sure if they are manufacturer defects or not. As noted above, t is crazing and minimum wear to gilding. The bowl diameter is 16"; it is 5-1/2" tall. Unboxed, it weighs 6 lbs, 9 oz. Please Check out my other items !
