DESCRIPTION : We are offering without reserve an invitation addressed to the Assistant Attorney General of The United States, The Honorable John Quigley Thompson, requesting the pleasure of his company from The Senators and Representatives of Louisiana, to meet The Governor of Louisiana and Representatives of The World's Panama Exposition, Wednesday evening, January 11, 1911.The invitation is presented in it's original mailing envelope.The calligraphic style message is crisp and clear and easily read. The quality of printing is superior and the sheet is in very good vintage condition. The envelope too is in good condition. CONDITION POSITIVES : The invitation is printed on warm toned double weight paper and the edges and surface are clean and flat and very well preserved. The sheet appears to have been stored with other documents and very seldom handled. The invitation is folded twice onto itself and the paper is supple. This is a very attractive document. read more
