International Postage Stamp Album, 19th Century Edition (Scott, 1912). It contains over 2,300 stamps from around the world, and a few covers. The estimated catalog value is over $2,500 (Scott Catalog, 1996). Dates range from 1850 to 1920's. About half of the stamps are from the 1800's.

The collection was started in 1913 with a goal of 5,000 stamps (photo 4). It appears he fell short of his goal, although all of the stamps have been removed from the U.S. section. The album is well worn, but is holding up fairly well. The spine has separated from the pages, but none of the pages are falling out, that I recall.
The estimate of catalog value was made using a random sample of 100 stamps. I doubt the actual catalog value is much less than $2,500, but it could be significantly more. I'm not a stamp expert, and usual didn't try to determine perforation size, watermarking, or paper type. When I couldn't tell which variety a stamp was, I assumed it was the least valuable variety. I did not assume that the stamps are placed in the correct location in the album, because I noticed that many of the stamps are placed incorrectly. Also, "Reprint" has been written on or next to a few of the stamps (photo 5, last stamp, for example), so I gather that some of the stamps are not original. Also a few of the stamps appear to have false cancellations, for example Korean #3-5, which were never placed in use, but the specimens in this album have cancellations, whoops!
I browsed through the album and attributed some better stamps (but I'm sure I missed some.) Some examples appear in photo 5, reading left to right from top to bottom:
