This rare collection of 67 vintage photographs record a 1913 tour of the construction of the Panama Canal. The date can be determined because the canal was finished in 1914 and the Woolworth Building, which appears in the first photograph, was completed in 1913. Included are photos of a storm at sea taken from the steamboat deck as well as the observation train used to take tourist along the entire length of the canal, views of buildings in the Canal Zone, and Panama street scenes.
