Up for auction is this stick telephone made by Western Electric on Jan. 14, 1913 as inscribed on the plaque on the mouthpiece. The telephone with the rotary dial intact is in nice condition after over 100 years with only new wiring needed to put into working order. The usual cloth wiring is not in this phone. The chrome on the rotary dial, mouthpiece, and earpiece cradle has some pitting. The stick telephone stands 12" high and has a base that is 5" in diameter. Weighs just over 4 lbs. before packaging. A nice find for the collector of these turn-of-the-century stick telephones or for the buyer who wants a 1913 Western Electric stick telephone that with some new wiring may be put in working order or will make a great conversation piece in his or her home or office.
