1914 - 15 Star trio to Private Reginald Bowyer, of the 7th Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment with his Memorial Plaque. He died of wounds 21 February 1916 aged 19. Parents William and Martha Bowyer, of 4 Bungalow, Winnington, Northwich, Cheshire. Buried II Q 3 St. Vaast Post Military Cemetery, Richebourg-L'Avoue.. With photograph of Private Bowyer and a silk post card that he sent to his Uncle Mr. D Booth, 29 Faraday Road, Winnington Park, Northwich. Dated 29 November 1915. 'Dear Uncle,just a bit of a souvenier from 'Francais' for Auld Lang Syne. your loving Nephew. Reg'. Also included is the British War and Victory Medals box and registered post envelope. Plus ribbons, probably replacements. Medals in very good order, some verdigris to Plaque. A number of other members of the 7th Battalion East Lancashire Regiment are buried in the same cemetery. Including CSM Doig who died on 25 February 1916 four days after Reginald. Items:. Memorial Plaque, three medals, 1 photograph, 1 postcard, 1 box (damaged) 1 envelope (torn), three lengths ribbon.
