You are bidding on an EbbetsField Flannels Historic Baseball Apparel Authentic Reproduction Baltimore Terrapins 1914 Road Jersey - Size Men's Extra Large XL and it measures 26 inches from armpit to armpit, 32 inches from the back top to the end or 27 inches from the base of the V neck to the end. This jersey harkens back to the time when jerseys were extremely simple (no team name or numbers) but has an awesome blue and orange diamond turtle stitched patch on the left front of the jersey. The back is blank, no logos, just gray - pretty neat this is what they actually wore then. The sleeves are a little longer than a typical jersey as well, they seem to go about elbow length. This team played in Terrapin Park in Baltimore Maryland for only two seasons, 1914 and 1915 when the Federal League was a competing major league and the only Orioles in existence were a minor league team so this team was named after the diamondback terrapin the state reptile (the Baltimore Orioles would relocate later in 1954 from St. Louis). Managed by Second Baseman Otto Knabe this team played .545 baseball at 84-70 finishing third in the league behind star pitcher Jack Quinn and Third Baseman Jimmy Walsh. This is a very nice rare hand-made reproduction jersey and is in very good used condition! There are no holes, rips, tears, missing buttons or visible wear/damage read more
