These don't show up on ebay very often. This is a 1914 F style Mandolin by The Gibson company. Serial number 16850 handwritten on tag inside. Model number F2. 2009 is stamped on the neck block. The instrument is in very original condition. Has original case, original pickguard, beautiful original tuners and original tailpiece. The finish is black on the front with a wood stained mahogany color on the back and sides. The headstock and tailpiece cover both say "The Gibson". You would want a professional experienced in doing vintage instruments to do this. The binding is ivory colored and has a few cracks... but is all in place. T is an ugly repair up at the headstock... The neck appears to be perfect... the back looks good and the frets are all nice looking. The back of the instrument is also very nice. Not all scratched read more
