An early Indy racecar model that has been meticulously handpainted and handsomely detailed down to its aged exterior. "The Vintage Collection Antique Toy reproduction models are based on the innovative design of the makers and the daring of the drivers who threw them around the track at breakneck speeds." Originally sold in 1995 in upscale collectible stores for $125.00 a piece, each numbered car comes with it own brickyard display base and original box, which may have some packaging tape still attached. This 1:18 scale model measures 11 1/2 inches long and the base is 13 1/2 by 6 inches. These models look great parked along side newer Indy 1:18 scale racecars. This auction is for only one racecar. Page 12 shows a beautiful color picture of the 1914 winning racecar which looks exactly like this model except for the number. My belief is that the DeLage Corsa also ran other races, including Europe, and the #3 is from one of those other races. To be correct for read more
