Offered is a cover sent during the Vera Cruz, Campaign when American troops were sent to Mexico in 1914. Cover has some slight discoloration on front and back but not along glue lines. Cover carefully slit open at left front edge with no opening damage. Emboseed stamp is cancelled with a fairly well struck, "Vera Cruz, Mexico" US machine flag cancel. Cover has a decent appearance and would be a nice addition to any collection of Vera Cruz Campaign postal history. The flage cancel is especially attractive. Corner card obliterated with pen. Cover acquired from estate sale and notation on back suggests the previous owner paid $37.50 some time ago. The cover hasn't seen the light of day for a number of years.
