The ticket belonged to and was worn by Esther Dale who presumably came home from nearby Wilson College for what we believe to be homecoming weekend at Penn State on October 16, 1915. The Dennison ticket (4 1/4" X 2 1/8") is bright orange with black lettering and still has the original attachment string which she cut away from her coat button. It reads "FOOTBALL - Gettysburg Vs. Penn State - New Beaver Field - Sat. Oct. 16 - 2:30 PM - Admission 50 Cents - Keep This Ticket In Sight ". The celluloid button reads "PENNA - 1915" within a keystone with a blue banner reading "Votes For Women". Condition is excellent with no fading and only some extremely minor creasing and a tiny glue stain on the upper right from w it had been applied to a scrapbook page. The read more
