Shop At Home Antiques: You are bidding on an 1915 QUARTERSAWN OAK SIDE BY SIDE SLANT DESK BOOKSHELF BOOKCASE Features: Original label on back: Larkin Co., Buffalo N.Y. Wood appliques, beveled mirror, adjustable wood shelves. All the special phases of the manufacturers finish has been documented on original label. Beautiful Tiger Oak grain stripping. Slant front desk, door and hinges work properly. Dovetail construction at drawer. Probably original beveled mirror, backing has been replaced. Beautiful, classic Larkin Desk side by side. Great to fill that space you need with mutliple functions. Condition:
Overall good condition. Glass in door has been replaced. Door at bottom of desk sticks a little, can be adjusted. One tip of the wood applique at the bottom center is missing, hard to detect. At top, t may be wood applique missing on either side of the bottom curls, hard to detect, see pic. Dimensions: 62" tall top of backing and 55 1/4" tall top of cabinet and 43 3/4" tall cabinet on the right facing the unit x 40 1/2" wide x 14" deep Desk: 28" from ground.
