Offered is a grand piece of Rookwood Art Pottery by artist Ed Diers. This piece is dated 1915 - Marked 2033E-V and signed ED. See pic. Gorgeously decorated with pink roses- in full bloom and buds. 3 Full blooms and two buds. Done is a light pink to salmon pink. The leaves are in a deeper soft green vs the the light green matt finish. The thorns , centers of the flowers and the veins in the buds are very prominent. The light creamy green finish blends into darker greens , light pink, mellow cream and purple. The height is a nice 8.250" with a small rim opening of 1.750". The bottom is 2.50" across. Nice narrow bottom which blossoms into a bulbous top with a narrow vase opening. NO damage to this piece. Only generalized crazing which gives it a classical antiquity appearance. The crazing can NOT be felt with the tip of the finger or nail. The crazing is tight . The interior bottom shows some very old usage from its holding of flowers. Again NO damage. The pictures do not reflect the quality of the artistry or the magnificent use of color and blending on this piece of Art Pottery. No damage, gorgeous colors, early date, fine artist.
