We have up for auction a "GREAT" SETH THOMAS 8 day time and strike "ADAMANTINE VENEER" MAHOGANY CLOCK, made by the Seth thomas clock company in 1915. This is keywound and pendulum driven. We believe this clock is all original and complete . If you can see a part that you feel is not original, PLEASE tell us so. CASE: The case is 9 1/4" high x 10" wide x 5 3/4" deep. It is in the MAHOGANY "ADAMANTINE VENEER FINISH" The rich wood design all through this case. Only a few small places that have flaws. The front finish, near the face, has a couple of small cracks and the corners have some wear. The front corners have very, very minor rubbing and the back corners, on one side only, have a small chip. The top of the case has a couple of minor scratches that we think can be rubbed out but didn't want to take the chance when we weren't sure. The pictures show the wood in two different colors but that is from my flash. The true color is the dark mahogany. DIAL: The dial is 5" in diameter and is in very near mint condition. Convex glass - Gold - plated sash mat and feet. MOVEMENT: The movement is the popular and durable Seth Thomas #89AL movement, the workhorse of the Seth Thomas mantle clock line and possibly the finest 8 day 2 train movement ever produced.
