This Tiffany iridescent low bowl came from an Ohio estate. Form is great. Large and commanding in size. Signed on the bottom. Dates to 1916. It also has an apology. Has a crack on the bottom which extends approx. 8"L. from the bottom to the edge of the rim. The crack cannot be felt with your fingertips but when held to the light, it is certainly visible. Despite the crack, I find this to be an extraordinary piece of art glass. Iridescent colours are strong. Exceptional. Fusion of hues from luscious gold to blues and deep reds with tinges of green highlights. Remarkable range from every angle in every light. Captivating.
Quality of glass is exceptional. Beautifully contoured and carefully formed. Rim has a slightly upward curve. Substantial and hefty in weight. Smooth and sensuous on the interior and richly textured along the rim. Lovely. Just think this is a very worthy piece of art glass. Would truly make an exciting addition for any art glass collection or would make an exemplary piece for display.
