1917-D Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. Type 1. NGC graded MS-65 Full Head. Well struck and richly toned. A highly lustrous Gem that has immaculately preserved surfaces. Extremely well struck, without even a suggestion of weakness at the key high points. A riveting example from the Denver mint that has, now that we mention it, full sharp rivets on the shield with equally crisp inner shield. Bold head on Liberty as well. An important two-year Type with the 1916 much more expensive than the 1917 issue.
