This Antique Waterbury Mantel Clock is named the Englewood. The picture in this listing shows the way it was depicted in the company's 1917 catalog. It was produced in Waterbury Connecticut. The case is made of mahogany and maintains it's original finish. The silvered dial is still in good condition. The hands are original. The movement has been cleaned and fully serviced. New hammer leather has been installed. This clock runs well. It keeps time and counts the hours on it's gong. It also marks the one half hour. If you are looking for a classic original example of a great USA made clock for your mantelpiece this one makes the grade. Remember this clock is an antique and as such will have some evidence of it's age. On this particular clock there is some slight splitting of the wood on the upper inside door hinge. This is not visible from the outside of the case and the door opens and shuts just fine. The book value of this clock is $400.00. A correct replacement key is included.
