SEE BELOW FOR MANYMORE PHOTOS THE ALBUM 1918 China Marine & Washington State College Photo Album is an incredible photo album that belonged to a Marine Corps Officer that served in China in 1918. Prior to his service in the Marine Corps he was a student and an athlete at Washington State College. The album measures 11 x 12 inches. T are 36 black paper inserts with photos on both sides, which translates to 72 pages of photos. T are 246 original photographs. The vast majority of the Marine Corps photos measure 3 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches. The three panorama photos measure 3 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches. The album begins at Washington State. T are photos of the buildings, students, a drilling operation, and sports. T are some great team photos.The Marine Corps Photos begin with photos of officers on the deck of a ship. T is a series of photos of flooding in China. Photos of other Marines. Photos of the Great Wall of China. Photos of Marines taking a rest against the Wall. What is interesting about these photos is that the Marines are wearing their blue uniforms with the campaign hat. This hat was supposed to be worn with the forest green or khaki uniform.
