This is a 1918 7 1/2" x 10" souvenir program from Sid Grauman's Million Dollar Theatre. Sid Grauman built this theatre at Broadway and Third in downtown Los Angeles before he built his Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. I acquired this program from my grandfather's estate. He was Sid Grauman's attorney. The program is frayed on the edges but otherwise in descent condition for a 1918 program. It has advertisments from that time, as well as mini biographies of the actors of that time period. Theatre tickets went for $.25 in 1918. Also included is a VHS up for 1997 Emmy consideration for outstanding variety, music, or comedy special. It is called Hidden Hollywood hosted by Joan Collins. It shows cut scenes from 20th Century Fox's Musicals form 1930 - 1960. Highlights include song-and-dance numbers with Shirley Temple, Jimmy Durante, Betty Grable, Carman Miranda, Alice Faye, Ethel Merman, etc.
