A 1918 War Savings Ace Medal awarded to Scouts who sold $250.00 in subscriptions, and a 1933 to 1954 Eagle Scout Medal (Robbins Type 3).The War Savings medal is in remarkable condition, and has a bronze palm (probably for a second award, or for selling in excess of the requirement to get the medal, to wit and additional $100.00 in War Savings Stamps). The Eagle Scout award though not tattered in any way is a little dark, probably from being handled so often over the past 50-70 years.I will also include my short essay on the history of the Treasury Service Medals, as well as the page in my yet to be published book on Statue of Liberty Medals. The War Savings Service Ace medal has a torch variety of the Statue of Liberty. The mintage of this medal according to Mitch Reis in his 1984 publication on Boy Scouts medals and memorabilia was 13,135.Sent to you postpaid.
