1919 9K GOLD CASE ROLEX WRIST WATCH IN WORKING ORDER Description : Vintage Circa 1919 9k gold cased 15 jewelled Swiss made Rolex wrist watch in full working order. The dial is silver grey in colour with black coloured numerals and blued steel hands. The movement is clean with a good strong tick keeping good time and marked Rolex, 15 Jewels. The back cover is marked to the inside Rolex, with London gold import marks 0.375 for 1919, W&D which stands for Wilsdorf & Davis who were the for-runners of Rolex and the number 1112878 Swiss. The case is clean and bright and has worn as to its age with both covers closing down nice and tight. The dial and dial glass are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks with age staining to the dial, otherwise in good condition. The strap is of rolled gold and I would think original to the watch. Measures 26mm across excluding crown.
