Up for bid is this old 1919 Vintage Westclox Big Ben Alarm Clock It is in working condition and is keeping time after all these years but does run a little slow, will let you do the adjustment. It has been tick, tick, ticking away (very loudly) for the last two weeks, BUT it will need winding about every third day. The alarm works fine and could wake the dead. It has everything original, including the feet and ring and all the knobs. The back of the clock seems to be a bit pitted and some dirt (see photos) another thing this Big Ben the metal is NOT shiny . It is a dull nickel color and the top that controls the alarm " Silence and Alarm " the words are also very worn. (again, see photos) The works " Steady and Repeat " are also very worn . The glass is perfect and has no chips or cracks. It says "Made by Western Clock Co. La Salle , Ill. USA " PLEASE NOTE: The face is NOT a s white as the first photo shows and have tried to show you the brown spots on the face in some of the photos. It is just a very nice old 89 years old and the face has yellowed with age but in working condition. You will have to do the cleaning. On the back, the last patent number is April 1919. I cannot guarantee how long it will keep time without some cleaning on the inside also. It measures 7 inches tall including the top ring. I will
