He fought in the Russian Civil War in 1919, in Siberia. He fought in the Waziristan Campaign in 1920.He fought in the Waziristan Campaign in 1930. 1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Indian Army He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1936 and 1937. 1 He was Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1937.
