For your consideration I present this handsome 1919 Denver mintage Walking Liberty Half-Dollar graded VF20 by ANACS. The velvety fields are remarkably smooth and both the obverse and reverse surfaces still retain their wonderful original mint luster. A slightly soft strike at the centers, but everything else has plentiful detail. This is a beautiful Liberty that deserves a place in any distinguished collection. From a mintage of a mere 1.1 million, this 1919 Denver mint Walking Liberty is one of a few remaining examples of its mintage. With many of these specimen used in circulation, melted down for reuse, or destroyed in the massive bullion melts of the 1930s, very few survive to be graded by ANACS to this day. Based on the recent market activity I would estimate a conservative value of $400 for this 1919-D Walking Liberty silver half dollar.
