This is a real nice mining transit in exc. condition, comes with what you see in the photos there is no tripod. Comes with an old Dietzgen hand level, a survey book from about 1920, a box of old pencils and the other items you see in the photos. This transit is equipped with the optional gradienter, a mining sun shield that reflects extra line in to see the cross hairs when underground, and the studs on the sides of the scope for an auxiliary scope and counterweight, however they are missing. Find the auxilliary scope and the value of this transit will double or triple. The scope is 9 1/2" long, compass needle is 3 5/8" long, and the plate measures 5 1/4" across . There is what might be an auxilliary scope on the Survey Antiques website located at /salespecialitems.htm . Motions are smooth, optics are fine cross hairs are good, all the bubbles have fluid and are fine. PAYPAL IS THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE FORM OF PAYMENT FOR BIDDERS OUTSIDE THE USA.
