VALITCHKA PIPES, Est. 1998 Search Description 1920’s-30’s Comoy’s Make “The Lumberman” SPECIAL “MADE IN ENGLAND” Stamp Wonderful Collectors I’m glad to offer this example of an early Comoy’s pipe from the 1920’s-30’s called THE LUMBERMAN - SPECIAL. This pipe is in great shape with super pretty grain! In looking at the Pipedia page under Dating Comoy’s ( /wiki/Comoy's_Dating_Guide ) you can read the stamping “MADE IN ENGLAND” (in what they term the Rugby Shape stamp) was used in the 1920’s and common in the 1930’s. This Lumberman is also marked SPECIAL, not sure what that signifies, perhaps superior grain or longer version, etc. It’s in fine lightly used shape with very minor normal signs of use, and no issues. The stem is original with very light tooth chatter on top. A rare find indeed for the Comoy’s collector! Carefully reconditioned, polished and is ready to smoke. Please see my other Auctions!
