Here we have a Brunswick Junior Grand pool table, made fromapproximately 1919 to 1928. This is the3 ½ by 7 foot size. The table is slate and comes with the original wooden case with a set of long rails to easily convert the table from pocket to carom billiards. From an early catalog: “Combination table with interchangeable cushions : This exclusive Brunswick feature really makes two styles of billiard tables into one. Regardless of the game desired, carom or pocket billiards, both are possible on this single table. Two sets of separate cushions are furnished, one for either style of play. It requires but a few seconds to change the cushions and convert this table from one style to the other.” The table still has most of the original accessories including cues, bridge, level, tools, and even chalk! All the accessories are contained in a drawer under the table so they can be hidden when not in use. The balls are replacements. The overall condition is good with a few inevitable scratches and nicks. The finish is original. The wood is walnut. One leg has a piece of molding missing at the bottom with a small sliver of veneer. Both are small and simple and would be easy to replace. Overall, the wood sides are in good shape with no missing or damaged wood. There are two grooves in the wood near the Brunswick nameplate on the top. The leather at the pockets needs to be replaced. There is no damage to the slate. It should be recovered, of course. Due to the weight, this is a pick up only. I will be happy to work with your shipper to expedite delivery. This is perfect for the collector or anyone with a smaller room who wants a classic Brunswick pool table. And, no, the cat is not included in the auction.
