Please Note: We are offering a number of vintage automotive items including hood ornaments or mascots, an early Chrysler winged radiator cap and a Cadillac badge. Please check our listings. You are reviewing an early Chrysler Radiator Cap that is quite ornate. It has two detailed wings coming up from a "helmet" like cap. (At first, I thought it was a Mercury item.) It measures about 3" tall and 4" wide. It has screw threads for attaching to the radiator. It appears to be nickel coated, not chrome. On the back, t is a small diamond mark with the following inside "Design Pat. CHRYSLER 6-3-24". CONDITION: This is rated very fine + to excellent. T is no damage, breaks or missing pieces. The photos actually make the surface condition look worse than it is. T is some very light surface rust on the back of one wing, some white surface build up behind the opposite one and some minor pitting of the coating. I assume that the green paint is a later addition. With a little cleaning, this would be an outstanding gemfor any automotive collector.
