Up for auction is a 17" Flossie Flirt composition doll from the 20s - 30s. Her sleep eyes open and close, AND they move side to side and even quiver a little when she's moved! It's adorable! Flossie has tin eyes and an original mohair auburn wig. She comes to you wearing a black velvet homemade dress (not particularly well-made, but cute) with a matching lace headband, socks and rubber "Shirley Temple"-type shoes from a later decade, probably 40s or 50s. She's had some facial repair/repaint, but her arms and legs remain completely original. There is some crazing and scuffing on them (normal for a 80-year-old doll!) and a chip on one heel. She has suffered a bit of paint-flaking on her left thigh, but it is not shedding or "active." See the photo. She also has a crack on the back of her neck, but it is stable. We have a smoke-free home, but we do have pets (cats). My dolls and cats are not generally in the same place at the same time, but those with serious allergies may want to know my dolls may have been exposed to a sofa where a cat had been... Doll is odor-free. This little doll is sold "as is" (no returns), since everything I know about her condition has been disclosed and/or pictured.
