PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING INCLUDING SHIPPING INFO BEFORE BIDDING ~~Thank you~ We are pleased to offer for auction a circa 1920’s Foxy Grandpa Hat Party game. The game was published by Selchow & Righter , New York . The game is complete and comes with the original box. This game would have been played very much like “Pin the tail on the Donkey” only you are attempting to pin the hat on Foxy Grandpa. When we purchased it recently at a Maine estate auction, all of the pieces (which had been individually cut out very nicely) and the box were displayed in a large frame with a red background as can be seen in the first photo. The frame and background are not included in this auction due to their large size, but this would be a great idea for the winning bidder to display the game. Foxy Grandpa and the hats are made of a thin oilcloth type material. The colors are still nice and bright. Various parts of the game have some creases, color loss and staining, however none are missing pieces. At the top of most of the hats you will notice there is some wear, where pins would have been used to “pin the hat on Foxy Grandpa”. The box has serious edge wear and some staining, and creases on the lock down flaps as well as two areas on the back where tape was previously attached. The cover label is still in very good displayable condition. The read more
