1920s FRENCH ART DECO GEOMETRIC CYLINDER VASE APPROX. MEASUREMENTS 10 1/4"H by 2 7/8" rim weight 1lb 13.2oz impress artist signed Boulogne Made In France This wonderfully glazed cylinder vase came from a noted family estate auction held in the Midwest. It caught my attention immediately. Clean and sleek. Tall and commanding in size, Beautifully shaped with glazed geometric banded lines. Glaze tones are crisp and bright Greenish-Bluish, Sea Green-Turquoise on ivory buff ground. "Craquelure" finish to the glaze is uniform and carefully applied. Decoration is artistic and detailed. Fully marked on the bottom, I am not certain of the maker. Perhaps someone with greater knowledge will recognize this piece either by impress mark, shape, form, glaze technique, or design. T are two apologies to made. An old nick to the rim and a glaze fleck around the base which I have photographed. T are no other marks that I can detect. Just think this vase has an exciting look. Is perfectly proportioned. Artistically glazed and wonderfully shaped. Has presence.
