Up for auction is this nice BIG chrome red JB Cole NC Pottery Lamp. This shape was made for the Unaka Lighting contract that was located in High Point NC, circa 1928. As some of you know, High Point was the "Furniture Capitol" of the world at one time, and Unaka sold lamps and accessories at the Trade shows and showrooms there. I have not taken this apart to see if it is stamped Unaka. Some were, but most had paper labels. The lamp is 17" in overall height, with the pottery base being 13" tall by nearly 8" in diameter. Condition is excellent with no damages or repairs. The plug and cord have been replaced, probably in the 70's, and the hardware looks to have been replaced some time in the 40's or 50's. The original hardware units had twin sockets. These lamps rarely come on the market, and it's been quite a while since I had one like it. This lamp, properly packed, WILL be an oversize package. Therefore, I'm offering USPS Parcel Post as the primary shipping rate. Thanks for looking, and good luck should you choose to bid.
