1920s PHOTO NEGATIVE LOT WORLD TRAVEL INDIA CHINA EGYPT Description : PLEASE BEWARE OF SPOOF EMAILS. HOUSEOFMIRTH WILL NEVER OFFER AN ITEM FOR SALE OUTSIDE OF EBAY. Greetings! The bidding is on a lot of approximately 250 negatives, from an around the world trip in the early 1920s. About two thirds of the negatives are in envelopes which identify the places, along with occasional comments on the exposure or camera. The other negatives are loose, though in many cases you can identify w they were from. Also on the envelopes, is the printed name of "Perry N. Cedarholm, Tuguegarao, Cagayn, P.I." I did a quick Google search, and it appears that Cedarholm was from Brooklyn, and at one point was the Archbishop of the Russian Orthodox Church. More research would need to be done, but perhaps he was on some type of missionary voyage during the taking of these photos. Some of the many identifications include: Egyptian village Jerusalem Naples Albania Pompei Rome Damascus Cairo Nile Valley Sakkara Egypt Penang Kowloon China Suez Canal Aden Arabia Island of Rhodes Athens Bethlehem Canton China Burma SS Pilsna Port Said Calcutta Darjeeling Constantinople (Turkey) Benares India Hong Kong Smyrna Turkey Delhi Agra Bombay Tibetians at Darjeeling Alexandrett, Syria - Beirut Armenian refugees Mt Carmel Haifa Philippines Currinao Il Norte Filipino read more
